Mohamed Sharil also encouraged small business owners from the ages of 18 till 65 to apply for the Get Malaysian Business Online’s (GMBO) RM1000 grant provided by MCMC.
He said those who have registered at websites such as ‘.com.my’ and ‘.my’ and fulfill the rest of the criteria can obtain the sum.
“The money will be credited directly into the successful applicants’ local bank accounts,” he said, estimating 5000 eligible entrepreneurs to apply for the grant.
RM500 smartphone eligible for RM200 rebate
“The scheme is on a first- come- first served basis and will be for the first 1.5 million eligible youths who may claim their smartphones while stocks last,” he said, adding the applications to purchase the smartphones can be made by registering at the MCMC’s website from Jan 1, 2013.
